Scottie Scheffler hunted down Viktor Hovland at East Lake on Sunday, closing with a 66 to win the Tour Championship by three and pocket $10 million. The win pushed his career earnings past Tiger Woods on the all-time money list. Sure, Tiger never played for these purses — but the record book doesn't do inflation adjustments, and neither do we. Congrats, Scottie. We'll pass Tiger too, right after we break 100.

The shot of the week was Scheffler sticking it to two inches from 211 yards on the par-3 2nd. Meanwhile Justin Rose dunked an ace on the 9th, and poor Hovland lipped out on 15 and watched the whole thing slide away with three back-nine bogeys. Golf is cruel like that: one guy nearly jars it from another zip code, the other can't buy a putt.

Here's your tip, stolen straight from Sunday: **take one more club**. Amateurs come up short on nearly every approach — ego picks the 7-iron, physics picks the bunker. Next round, club up and swing smooth at 80 percent. Scheffler flights a 4-iron like it's nothing; you just need your 8-iron to reach the actual green instead of the pond in front of it.

Closing confession: the Tour also announced East Lake's run ends after next year, with match play playoffs coming in 2028\. Match play — the format where we lose holes faster. See you at the 19th hole, where the beer, per Scottie himself, tastes great.
